First Niagara Bank Says Issues with Automatic Deposits Fixed
Buffalo, NY (WBEN) There have been issues with people not getting social security checks or other direct deposits into their First Niagara Bank accounts.
Oliver Hays, a spokesperson with the bank, has issued this statement:
"There were errors in the Automated Clearinghouse file that was processed overnight. Technical teams have found the cause of the problem and are working to reverse the incorrectly posted files and then post the correct files from this morning. No fees will be assessed to our customers due to this error, and all scheduled transactions that have not yet posted will post later today.
In the meantime, customer online balances may not be fully accurate or transactions may not have posted that should have posted. Our Retail Online Banking is temporarily unavailable until this issue is corrected. Again, our technical team is working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience."
