Lotto Mart Getting Ready for Busy Tuesday
Depew, NY (WBEN) Carl's Lotto Mart has a reputation for winners, but no one has hit a million dollar payday buying a ticket from there. The owner hopes Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing worth nearly $600 million could change the tide.
"We're due," says owner Maria Guillot. "Every minute you're running tickets. I printed off $400 worth of tickets to one customer. I think it's a common practice when the jackpot is high." Guillot says that's usually the case of workplace pools.
Guillot is hoping for long lines for tickets Tuesday, though she admits, "You can get them anywhere these days, so the lines aren't like they used to be. We have two machines and we keep them rolling."
