Boise, ID (WBEN) As the UB Bulls gear up for their bowl game this weekend, a father and daughter are looking forward to seeing the "True Blue" battle for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
To say UB is in the blood of the Uhl family would be an understatement. "I'm a graduate, my wife's a graduate, my late father-in-law, my brother and sister are graduates," says Thomas Uhl, who now lives in Utah with his daughter Elizabeth, herself a UB grad.
It would be no surprise to find Elizabeth Uhl at a UB game. "I was very excited to go to the bowl game in Toronto, and the MAC Championship game in 2008, and really excited to see another bowl game here," says Elizabeth. "Not very often they travel out here, so I was very excited to see they're close to where we live now." It's expected to be a four hour trip north from Utah to Boise.
Thomas Uhl says the bowl game is a big chance for UB. "I think it's enormous, a great opportunity to get us on a national stage," says Uhl.
