Woman Charged With Violating Move Over Law in Striking Deputy

Wheatfield, NY (WBEN) Niagara County Sheriff's deputies say one of their own was struck by a car while conducting a traffic stop on Niagara Falls Boulevard Monday morning. A driver is charged with violating the move over law.

Deputies say a car driven by 25 year old Lorrie Wolski of Tonawanda was driving southbound on Niagara Falls Boulevard when her car rear-ended the stopped patrol car. Deputies say the patrol car then moved forward by the force of the collision causing it to strike the vehicle the deputy pulled over for a traffic infraction. The deputy was treated and released for a head laceration.

Wolski is charged with failing to obey the move over law and moving from a lane unsafely.
