Man Pleads Guilty in Fatal Crash on Reservation



LOCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) - A South Dakota man has pleaded guilty to drunken driving charges stemming from a fatal crash on a western New York Indian reservation last year.
  
21-year-old Skyler Zephier pleaded guilty Wednesday in Niagara County Court to charges that included driving while intoxicated, manslaughter and vehicular assault.
  
Authorities say he was driving a sport utility vehicle that flipped over after colliding with a car at an intersection on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation last September. His 18-year-old passenger, reservation resident Brett McKee, was pinned under the SUV and died.
  
Zephier fled the scene but was later found at a nearby home.
  
He faces three to nine years in prison when he's sentenced.
