Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, March 19th 2014

Months after announcing a consolidation in Fredonia, Conagra will now close its Dunkirk and Fredonia Carriage House plants.  Time Warner Cable News reports that 400 people will be out of work by February of 2015.

Next Tuesday, the Buffalo Planning Board will review two more projects that will continue the transformation of downtown Buffalo.  Mark Croce has proposed to renovate a 6-story structure at 505 Pearl Street into a mixed-use structure.  Business First reports the other project would transform a vacant hot dog stand overlooking Roosevelt Plaza along Genesee Street into a building anchored by three upper-level apartments and a first-floor restaurant.

Mercy Hospital has filed plans for a $4.9 million renovation project.  The plan calls for building a 25-room holding unit to support the hospital’s interventional labs on the second floor.

Lancaster's Ecology and Environment Inc. reported a loss of $785,000 in its second-quarter.
