Dog Bites Man, Then Pot Found in House

CLARENCE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a dog attack has led to drug charges against a man who had a sophisticated marijuana-growing operation inside his suburban Buffalo home.

State police say 40-year-old Arron Kasperek of Clarence and a friend went to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Williamsville Monday afternoon for treatment of severe dog bite injuries to their hands.

Troopers say the two gave conflicting stories and were reluctant to provide information regarding the incident.

The town of Clarence animal control officer and troopers went Kasperek's home and found a dog running loose in the yard. While there, troopers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from a window air conditioner and could hear more dogs inside.

Police say they found more than 250 marijuana plants inside the home.

It couldn't be determined if Kasperek has a lawyer.
