Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Yesterday, he admitted to fatally stabbing Toys R Us manager Larry Wells. Today, Bernard Grucza admitted to possessing a firearm while under an order of protection in federal court.
Grucza admitted to lying to Big Daddy Guns to get a pistol, while under an order of protection. He also admitted to lying to ATF agents about destroying the pistol when he did not. Prosecutors say he stole more than $200,000 in merchandise from Toys R Us stores, he must pay the store $223,000 in restitution.
His federal sentence is up to 18 months, he'll learn that penalty in June. It will run concurrently with the 25 year manslaughter sentence he'll serve following yesterday's plea deal.
