Brockport to Resume 'Drunk Bus' Service

BROCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) - The shuttle known as the "drunk bus" will be running again in a western New York college town after the service was halted because of rowdy behavior by inebriated students.

Officials at The College at Brockport say that the late-night bus that takes students to and from the bars on Main Street in the village will be running again next week.
The shuttle service was halted earlier this month by officials at the state college who cited "ongoing dangerous and injurious behavior" by a large number of students. College officials say the behavior included harassment of the bus drivers, fighting, vomiting and vandalizing the vehicle.
When the service resumes, a State University of New York police officer or a village police officer will be on board.
