Cuomo Names Campaign Manager, Media Consultant
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The manager from Andrew Cuomo's 2010 campaign is returning to lead the Democratic governor's re-election bid.
The New York State Democratic Committee announced Monday that Joe Percoco will again serve as Cuomo's campaign manager. Percoco has worked as a top adviser to Cuomo for years, going back to Cuomo's tenure as U.S. secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
Cuomo's 2014 team also includes Michael Donilon, a leading Democratic media consultant who has served as a senior adviser to Vice President Joe Biden.
Cuomo has not formally launched his re-election bid, but he's already ahead in polls, name recognition and fundraising.
Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino is running for governor as a Republican.
