|In Gowanda, they're getting ready for another round of possible flooding after being hit early in the week.
"We're trying to get sandbags out to village residents, we have our fire department, volunteers, and local businesses doing that," says Mayor Heather McKeever.
Other efforts are being made to keep water flowing as best as possible.
"We're working with the state DEC and DOT to make sure Thatcher Brook is clear of any debris," notes McKeever.
|"We feel the streets have been cleaned and even washed down, all of our storm and sewer drains have been cleared out."
McKeever says her village has taken advantage of the warning time, and got a taste of the flooding earlier this week in making preparations. "We're getting everyone prepared in case of the worst," says McKeever.
McKeever reminds residents they can sign up for Code Red alerts by signing up at www.villageofgowanda.com.
