Sanchez Pleads Not Guilty to Murder of Teen

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A not guilty verdict from the 13 year old suspect in the murder of another 13 year old last month.

Jean Sanchez appeared in Erie County Court, answering charges of second degree murder, first degree criminal sexual act, first degree sexual abuse, and petit larceny in the death of Ameer Al-Shammari. Al-Shammari was found strangled in a field off Amherst Street on May 2nd.

Sanchez's lawyer says he'll try to move the case to family court. Prosecutors meantime say DNA proves guilt in the sex abuse.
