Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A man who was drunk behind the wheel in a deadly crash won't spend time behind bars.
Robert Styn was sentenced to three years probation after a crash that killed Erie County Sheriff's deputy Daniel McPartlane eight months ago.
Styn will have his driver's license suspended, and has been ordered to wear an ankle monitoring bracelet which will check on alcohol consumption. Styn cannot have any alcohol during the three year period.
Both sides say the accident was not Styn's fault and said the crash was unavoidable.
