Two Dead in Overnight City Shooting

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Police in Buffalo say two people were killed in an early morning shooting.
The victims have been identified as 37 year old Shamel Parker and 29 year old Tyneisha Pettiford, both of Buffalo.

The shooting occurred on the city's east side at about 2:15 Friday morning, several shots were fired into a gray Infiniti, near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Sycamore Street, killing both the driver and her front seat passenger. The shooting left bullet casings scattered on the street.
Central District and Ferry-Fillmore District officers responded to the scene, and learned that the vehicle struck an SUV in a driveway in the 600 block of Jefferson, after the gunshots were fired from another vehicle.
