Concord, NY (WBEN) Erie County Sheriff's deputies are dealing with a pair of crashes in Concord.
The first happened around 1:50 this afternoon, when deputies say a vehicle struck a 14 year old on West Main Street, sending the teen to Women and Children's Hospital, no word on the teen's condition.
The second happened 20 minutes later on Mill Street. Investigators say a Ford Ranger failed to negotiate a curve, cross the center line, and struck a motorcycle head on.
The crash happened on a bridge near Cattaragus Creek and the impact sent 46 year old Barbara Yocum into the creek. She was rescued and flown to ECMC for non life threatening injuries. Her husband Matthew was flown to ECMC for a leg injury.
Another motorcyclist avoided the crash by sliding to a stop on the pavement, that motorcyclist was taken to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Ranger, 17 year old Brandon Lumberg is charged with unreasonable speed and failure to keep right.
