State Liquor Authority Hits Molly's Pub with 8 Violations
(WBEN) -- The State Liquor Authority came down hard on Molly's pub Friday issuing eight charges including assault, employing off-duty police officers and concealing former bar manager Jeffrey Basil as the owner.
The site of the May alleged assault that left Air National Guardsman Bill Sager in a coma could face fines and a possible revocation of its liquor license.
The charges involving state liquor laws are against licensee Norman Habib.
Prosecutors said Friday that Sager's condition was grave and that this could become a murder case "at any moment." Basil is charged with attempted murder for allegedly pushing him down a flight of stairs. Sager remains in a coma.
