The AAA reports that the local average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas has eased by two cents to $3.77 per gallon.
The sale of the Fort Erie Race Track and the entire 338-acre property to a Buffalo-based buyer will be finalized today. That's according to the Fort Erie Times. Developer Carl Paladino is among the group buying the land from Nordic Gaming. At the moment there are no planned changes; the Fort Erie Live Racing Consortium will maintain its multi-year lease. A formal media announcement of the deal is expected later this week.
Koolatron Corp. of Batavia is expanding. The company will increase its warehouse size from 25,000 to 45,000-square-feet and double its workforce from 10 to 20 employees.
