Steel Beam Strikes Worker at Future Delaware North Site
Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - A construction worker on the Uniland Development site at 250 Delaware was struck by a steel beam while helping to unload materials.
The incident happened at around 8:15 this morning. The worker was injured and taken to the hospital. Uniland says the worker suffered non life threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. His name is being withheld at the family's request.
OSHA has been notified. "It appears to be an unfortunate accident and we are assisting OSHA with the investigation to determine how it happened," says Uniland Vice President Michael Montante.
The site will soon be the new headquarters of Delaware North Companies.
