Bus Struck By Vehicle on Opening Day



Wheatfield, NY (WBEN) A scare for a bus driver and two kids en route to Errick Road School Wednesday morning. Sheriff's deputies say a car struck another vehicle in the opposite direction into the path of the bus.

Deputies say around 8:30 this morning, they found the bus had its red hazard lights on stopped along Niagara Falls Boulevard. A car in the opposite direction was waiting for the stopped bus was hit by a third vehicle. The impact sent the stopped car into the bus.

The driver of the third vehicle, 19 year old Mitchell Kinnaman, was cited for unreasonable speed. He and the driver of the other car were treated at ECMC for non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver and two children were not hurt.
