Buffalo, NY (WBEN Newsroom) -- The rate of the manufacturing slowdown in Western New York has slowed. The National Association of Purchasing Management-Buffalo reports the rate for March went up over 4-1/2 points to 47.4. Any number above 50 indicates that manufacturing is expanding.
The New York State Restaurant Association has closed offices in Rochester and on Long Island. The move spurred, in part, by a 10% decrease in membership last year.
Betty’s Restaurant on Virginia Street in Buffalo is in the midst of a $275,000 renovation. The eatery is reconfiguring to more efficiently use existing space, according to Business First.
