Buffalo, NY (WBEN Newsroom)  -- The ownership group that won the Statler Towers at auction in August has requested yet another extension in order to complete the deal. Business First notes the latest extension request is for 60 days. The court had granted a 30 day extension on August 28th. A hearing is scheduled for next Tuesday on the extension. Trustees in the case have agreed to a 48-hour extension of the closing date so that the case could be heard.
 
Mark Croce is proceeding with his plans for a new downtown hotel. He breaks ground today on a $19 million boutique hotel planned for Franklin Street, on the site of the soon to be demolished former Continental Nightclub.
 
Ski Magazine has named Holiday Valley Resort the #4 winter destination in the East. The rankings are taken from magazine readers and subscribers. Holiday Valley has cracked the top 10 for six consecutive years.
 
Yogen Früz opens in the Boulevard Mall this Saturday. The international chain plans to open fifteen new stores in the area within five years.
