Buffalo, NY (Scott Berchtold / Bills V.P. of Communications) -- Early in the season, security officers at Ralph Wilson Stadium have noticed an unusually high number of fans trying to bring bags that exceed the size limit into the games.
"What happens is, it usually causes a little more congestion at the gates as fans are trying to get in, so we're trying to eliminate some of that congestion," says Scott Berchtold, Bills' Vice President of Communications.
No bags larger than 12 x 12 x 12 will be allowed past the gates, and all bags are subject to a visual inspection upon entry. Berchtold says this is the same policy that the Bills have followed for the past several seasons. You can read the full policy by clicking here.
"If a fan decides that he or she wants to come in without the bag, that's fine," Berchtold says. "But we're not going to allow the bag in."
"We still encourage fans to get to the gates as early as possible. With that being said, we just want to remind fans that, if you're going to bring a bag in, make sure it's the size that's allowed in, because if it's not, you're holding up the line and we're trying to get fans into the game."
