Haslett denies being contacted by "a team"
|
In the neverending search for Bills coaching news, we find a story in the UFL. Florida Tuskers coach Jim Haslett -- better known as a former Bills linebacker and Saints coach -- told reporters he's been contacted by "an NFL team or teams about a coaching position," according to Yahoo! Sports' Fanhouse. It does not mention the Bills by team.
However, Haslett told the Orlando Sentinel that report was incorrect. Here is the direct quote from the Florida newspaper.
"I was talking about being contacted about the players. Fanhouse wrote that and I don't know how they got it that way. I said that I, like a lot of our other coaches, had been contacted and I meant contacted about our players," Haslett said Sunday from his home in Clayton, Mo. "I haven't been contacted by anyone, personally. There are no jobs open right now anyway. There's still five weeks of football or whatever it is.
