Buffalo, NY (WBEN Newsroom)  -- The new path of the Buffalo Niagara Convention & Visitors Bureau is set. With Dottie Gallagher-Cohen appointed as President, the interim tag has been removed from Chairman Gary Praetzel. Praetzel is Dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Niagara University.
 
Business First reports Seneca Gaming revenues were down for 2009. The last quarter revenues were down 5%, while the year-to-year revenues were off 7.2%.
 
The Erie County Industrial Development Agency is working on an incentive package with OMFS Properties LLC. The deal is aimed at bringing a dental research and development center to a site on Young Street in the City of Tonawanda.
 
At midnight tonight, the Welland Canal closes for the winter season. Canadian wire accounts say as of the end of November, some 700 fewer vessels used the canal this year compared to 2008.
