April auto sales locally remained up in April.  The Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Association reported sales were up 16.2% compared to the same month last year.  Year-to-year sales figures are up 9% according to Business First.  The numbers do not include Chevrolet, which does not report its local sales figures.

You can't have a Canalside project without canals.  The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation announced the target date for those canals has been pushed back to next spring.  The $23 million project extends from Marine Drive to Main Street.  The ECHDC also approved a $1.5 million project to illuminate grain elevators and bridges along the waterfront.

$10 million of the "Billion for Buffalo" funds will be allocated to re-do a one mile stretch of Robert Moses Parkway. The section between John Daly Boulevard and Buffalo Avenue will be turned into a pedestrian-friendly thoroughfare, according to Business First.
