National Fuel Gas Supply Corp. and Empire Pipeline Inc. have secured an option to purchase 20 acres of industrial-zoned land along Killian Road in the Town of Pendleton to build a compressor station for its Northern Access 2016 infrastructure project.  Business First notes National Fuel has designed and currently operates compressor units at 38 sites across New York and Pennsylvania.

The local average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas has dropped by a nickel in the past week.  According to the AAA, the latest average is $2.62 per gallon.
