The AAA reports the local average price for a gallon of unleaded in the Buffalo metro area has dropped seven cents to $3.66.  The national average is $3.34.

FedEx has leased 53,000-square-feet in McGuire Development’s Concourse Center for its ground package systems.  The center is on Genesee Street in Cheektowaga almost across from Buffalo Niagara International Airport.  Samson Distribution recently agreed to lease 42,000-square-feet in the Concourse Center, which should be running later this fall.

The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation have jointly issued request for proposals for an operator to run the Buffalo Harbor State Park Marina, formerly known as the Small Boat Harbor.  Bids are due back October 29th.  The lease will start prior to the 2015 boating season.

The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency is expected to approve tax breaks for the construction of a new hotel on Niagara Falls Boulevard.  If it agrees to sales and property tax breaks along with a 10-year payment-in-lieu-of-taxes package, the former Cascade Inn would be replaced by a 50-room Sleep Inn.  The hotel would be ready next year.
