The Sunday blue laws have been changed.  Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a law that permits bars and restaurants throughout New York State to serve alcohol earlier on Sunday’s.  Effective immediately,  bars can start selling alcohol at 10am.  Bars and restaurants can also apply for special permits 12 times a year in order to sell alcohol at 8am on special occasions.
